Beautifully painted late 19th C unsigned oil on canvas copy of Guido Reni’s portrait of Beatrice Cenci. The original painting, in the National Gallery in Rome, was frequently reproduced by local Italian artists in the late 1800s and sold to tourists during the Grand Tour. The canvas, 17.75″ x 15.5″, was cut from it’s original stretcher, mounted on a plywood board and placed in a 19th C Rococo Florentine gitlwood frame by the O’Brien Art Gallery in Chicago with partial label attached.
